The Area
Monda is a wonderful base for artists, walkers, photographers or horse riders.
The local area is rich in picturesque views and has an abundance of well signed tracks. Further afield are the beautiful Sierras de las Nieves (Mountains of the Snows) a protected area of natural beauty, which is spectacular in all seasons.
Visitors can venture to the coast if they want the sea or into the mountains for a quieter time. Marbella is a 20 minute drive, the beautiful lakes area with waterside restaurants and the famous El Chorro Gorge, less than an hour away.

In springtime the countryside is thickly decorated with all manner of spring flowers and the clear sparkling air is ideal for walking among the groves of almond and orange blossom.
For 'budding' photographers, this area of Spain is a haven for those seeking diversity.
Monda itself is a pretty little village (pueblo) with several local bars and restaurants - just a five minute drive down the hill from the finca.
Linda, the owner of Finca Esperanza is a font of local knowledge and can give visitors lots of ideas about places to visit and things to see.
