“Peaceful, beautiful and”

I cannot recommend Stable Cottage enough for people looking for a break from busy life!
The accommodation is beautiful - a peaceful, private and secure setting with stunning views over a Spanish village and the impressive mountains. The accommodation itself is tastefully decorated with all you need and is slightly away from the hostess's home which gives a lovely private feel, but it is close enough to wander down to ask Linda for advice, recommendations or directions, or to share coffee or mojitos! Linda is a fabulous hostess - generous with her time and advice, funny, kind and charming. She made our week very special (especially helping us celebrate our engagement after my partner proposed two days in! The romantic setting, beautiful views and overwhelming sense of peace convinced him it would be the perfect place to ask. He was right!).

There are lots of nearby attractions, from the village of Monda to the city of Marbella. There are natural attractions such as the mountains, the lakes and the beaches. There is something for everyone, whether you enjoy site-seeing, walking, art, shopping, etc. Alternatively, lounging by the pool (beautifully warm in August!) is also a lovely way to spend a day.

My partner describes the week as "like visiting family" - we would both love to come back.

“Peaceful tranquil and heaven on earth ”

Beautifully presented and stunning location with views to die for this tranquil peaceful cottage will suit someone looking to get away from the crowds. Located in the gorgeous mountains of Monda . 
The cottage has been carefully and thoughtfully furnished to enable visitors to enjoy their stay , and whilst Linda , the host, is close on hand should you need anything there is enough privacy to allow the perfect place for a holiday . 
The pool and cottage are exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained and I would definitely be recommending it to my friends and will be back . Linda is a charming and lovely host who puts the icing on the cake ensuring any of your needs are met .

      I would just like to say what a wonderful weeks holiday my wife and l had at Stable Cottage Monda, the accommodation was first class everything we needed was there and the cottage was clean and spacious, with fantastic views. Linda (the owner) could not have been more helpful, we love walking and she soon put us the right track for the best walks,  anyone who likes painting or horse riding would love the area around Stable Cottage. You will need a car for this type holiday, but this was no trouble we hired one at Malaga Airport which was priced very reasonable.  For us this holiday was perfect , great accommodation, fantastic views, walks,  peace and tranquillity.  As the saying goes in Yorkshire,  we will return, which says it all about Stable Cottage and the surrounding area.   E & A. A breath taking area of Andalucia. Peaceful and relaxing. Great location for Marbella and the lakes. Perfect for walkers and artists or just relaxation. Charming hostess. Could not be better.

“Peace Glorious Peace”

We had a wonderful holiday, it was quiet, peaceful and sunny. Perfect for walks and fantastic views. The cottage was excellent with all the facilities you need. The owner was on hand for advise on places to visit. Highly recommended.

 

 

 

 “Balm to the soul”

This is a new conversion of a stable bock. The property is close to the beautiful town of Monda in Andalucia. The cottage provides wonderful views of the town across the valley which is a short drive away. A car is essential but perfect for mountain biking or walking parties. A party of artists had booked previously and I understand an art tutor is available on request . We found this property comfortable and above all very tranquil . Although there are many restaurants in the surrounding areas, we opted for BBQ provided which added to a relaxed atmosphere . The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The owner lives within the secure grounds and was charming and helpful. A perfect base to explore the region or just relax. I highly recommend this venue for peace and tranquility .

Nestled in the hills above the historical white Andalusian village of Monda is Stable Cottage. This tranquil retreat was ours for a week in May. The facilities of which only pail into insignificance compared to the hostess with the mostest, the wonderful owner Linda, she made our stay just perfect, attending to our every question and need with kindness and thoughtfulness, even going so far as to meet us at the airport, to direct us to our holiday destination.

Stable cottage is the perfect get away from it all retreat, the only noise you will hear is birdsong and the faint jingling of goat bells. The cottage has a panoramic vista of the mountains, and the village, perfect for relaxing and whiling away an afternoon in the sunshine with your favourite read. The swimming pool was delightful and a perfect way to cool down. The cottage facilities were spotless, and the shaded terrace idyllic, covered in sweet scented jasmine and colourful spring flowers. I was particularly impressed with our welcome pack, which meant we could settle straight into holiday mode.

Although self catering we opted for a few meals cooked by our hostess, which was great fun having drinks and a barbeque by the pool. We had several trips out, the most memorable of which was the beautiful turquoise lakes, although El Churro is on the tourist trail, our hostess with local knowledge informed us of a far nicer lake at Ardales, the most beautiful setting you could wish for.

We would highly recommend Stable Cottage and will definitely be back soon.
